I’m not saying it’s easy

But I’m just not the same.

I try to keep even

But everyone seems to change

At night, everybody

Looks like someone else

Every now and then

I’m in a daze myself

But I know

The difference between up and down

And I know

Only trouble will follow you around

Which way is left and right

And I know

Where I’ll end up tonight

You say mean things

Then you say you didn’t mean

You made so many promises

That you forgot to keep

I may not know

What it is to have some fun

But I never wanted to

Know what it meant to be dumb
